The Ron Paul Revolution

It seems fit that someone inform you, seeing as how the mainstream media has seen fit to not let you in on the secret. But there is a revolution in our midst. A quiet Texan (and Texans have made great politicians of late, haven't they?) Congressman by the name of Ron Paul is sweeping the nation  like it is nobody's business (it is).  His message is of a small, non-invasive government--a government who might respect each right outlined in the Bill of Rights, rather than pick and choose at their leisure. The Congressman raised roughly $20 million dollars in the fourth quarter, generously outpacing the other Republican candidates despite limited media coverage. Ron Paul has been included in the major debates, but with limited time. Fox News, in all its glory, saw fit to even edit one of Paul's responses before re-airing the debate. You can learn more about Ron Paul's campaign at his website, here. More to come from the man that speaks the truth, both me and my boy Ronnie!

WHO WILL WIN CALIFORNIA?

Super Tuesday is here! At long last, Californians throughout the state have been waiting to be politically relevant. Having moved the primary from June to February, the level of politcal efficacy (that's right AP Government students, a key term for the practical world of politics) has skyrocketed.

Here are my predictions: Californians will choose Barack Obama and John McCain. The Clinton campaign, down but not out, will turn negative against Obama. Mitt Romney, once the poster boy of the Republican election machine, will be licking his wounds at the end of the night and pull out of the race. And McCain and Obama will ride into the sunset on the verge of one of the most unconventional presidential campaigns in recent history.

So, Sacred Heart students in Atherton (and elsewhere)--make your opinion known. Be thoughtful. Be creative. Be provocative. And those who can, VOTE!
